Workin' on Fins today...

Jason's new board

This custom "Solo Series" board came out beautiful! Teal greenish blue resin tint on top with a black inlay on bottom, and of course a matching wood fin with the same color of teal tint.

Sneeky Peeks for Michael Dixon

I kinda had some fun with his board: abstract resin swirls, wide cutlaps, volan glass, and last but not least...ghost bands! These swirlies came out pretty cool...

Trevor Crowell on his 9'0" Competition

Here is Preston's little brother Trevor Crowell. Rumor has it that he has been killing it lately on his 9'0" Competition model. Photo by Tom English.

finished this board yesterday

10oz Volan, 3 cedar stringers, resin pinlines, patchwork fabric inlay, a custom wood fin and a matching tailblock, this board has all the bells and whistles! For the fin, I used zebrawood, bolivian rosewood, and maple...probably could have used a softer wood to make the fin and tailblock out of, but these types of wood just looked too pretty to pass up. The patchwork took a long time to do, but I think the outcome was well worth it.

Spindrift photos

setting up for the show...

Signed Prints of "Spindrift" (collaberation artpiece of me and Skye)...

Spindrift was a hit!

The Spindrift art show was a total hit! Thank you very much to everyone for showing your support for "Spindrift". The Surfindian Gallery was completely packed with friends, friends of friends, and even their friends! So many people showed up that there was even a line to get in! Not too shabby for a great show opening night at the Surfindian! And for those who are still interested in checking out the show, Spindrift will be going on for another 6 weeks so stop by the Surfindian in Pacific Beach and check out some of my boards and some artwork by me and Skye Walker.
